So I signed up for Loot Crate about a month ago, and with my second delivery a few days away from arriving I thought I would introduce you to it and also do a little unboxing post on May's "Adventure Crate."
I've been toying around with the idea of casting for a while, I've had a couple of friends, former customers and the odd employee who had done some casting, but I had always been put off by it because it looked so complicated. However last month I finally bit the bullet and gave it a go.
Primarch of the Death Guard Legion Mortarion, Legion upgrade parts, Mechanicum units as well as much more from the Horus Heresy Weekender after the Jump...
Although I couldn't make this year's Heresy Weekender (curse you job in America), I get to live vicariously through my two best friends Karl and Darwin. They almost died apparently, like a pair of tits, in a car accident on the way to Nottingham so they have risked life and limb for these photos. Pro tip for you all, dying in Nottingham is a pretty shit way to die, just saying. Anyway on to the pictures!
So I've been searching E-bay for cheeky deals and OOP models and was pretty excited to find the OOP Tyranid Capillary Towers. I wasn't quite prepared for the number of forgeries that I would find along the way.
Having picked this up when it was first released, I only recently bothered to open it up and look inside. I have to say that I am pretty impressed and inspired by what I read.
A couple of my recent Ebay aquisitions arrived today along with the new Super Dungeon Explore Limited Edition Character. I missed out unfortunatly on the new limited edition resin version of King Starfire (see after the jump), but the Soda Pop facebook team messaged me to tell me that they will be restocking him in the future.
I'm not sure if many people have seen the last issue of White Dwarf and the little sneak peak they gave us of some cool Forgeworld & Warhammer Forge miniatures.
Pinky: Gee, Brain, what do you want to do tonight?
Brain: The same thing we do every night, Pinky - try to take over the world!
Okay so that's not quite my hobby project for this new year, but i suppose in some ways it's close.
I have 8 main projects that I want to get done this year, I'm not sure how crazy this is as I've never set myself hobby goals before, but here we go anyway.
This December was a pretty unreal month. What with the usual build up this month brings work wise, add in the extra stress and work that one gets when spending the holidays in another country and throw in a whole load of other things and you get a pretty busy month! Surprisingly though I managed to get a fair amount of hobby done in between all the lovely work and celebration.
