Going through some of my files I recently found a couple of photos, mostly of some of my old models from when I was a kid, but I thought it might be interesting to put them here. Enjoy!

Lizardman Stegadon |
When I was a kid, most of what I had painted was because of my dad, we would spend most Sundays together painting, I would manage to paint probably 1 unit for ever 4 units he painted, but I loved. Almost everything here was painted by my dad.

Lizardman Salamander |
Good Old Salamanders, I actually really like these models still and I might try and get some cheap off ebay for my Lizards army (when I get around to them..)
|
Tyranid Carnifex Screamer Killer |
Go Screamer Killer, again I think this model has stood the test of time fairly well, not perhaps against the current Carnifex, but put it up against a lot of the other miniature companies out there and it looks good. (I'm looking at you Mantic -_-)

Lizardman Temple Guard |
Another Lizard, this guy is a favourite of mine because my dad painted him albino and for some reason I fucking loved that..still do tbh.

40k Diorama Duel |

40k Diorama Duel |
This was my first 'Conversion' and when I say me, I'm pretty sure it was my Dad who came up with the idea and it was certainly him who heated up the Stanley knife to cut him almost in half. The painting was all me though. It won second prize at my local GW and with that came a box of half metal Devastators, which never got built and sit in a bitz box and will pretty much doing sod and all till the end of mankind. Still though, I couldn't have been more proud and it's one of my fondest memories as a kid.

Necromunder Pit Slave |
These are a handful of my necromunder guys that I plan on using in Dark Heresy, there a few more than those three, but none of them are 100% finished. The one at the top is the most finished and the guy above is the least finished (holy crap those trousers are bright! That needs fixing..)
Here are some photos of the books that didnt make it over to the US. All 150 of my White Dwarfs and all of my old codex and army books. Next time I'm back I'll make sure to pick up my copy of Rogue Trader, it's a cool book and although its not in great shape my mate got it for me when he saw it for
£5 in a charity shop. Thanks Henry btw!
Here is what my old hobby desk looks like, once I finish my new hobby desk set up I'll make sure to take a photo of that one (I think my new set up is WAY better).

Chaos Daemon Blue Scribes Conversion |
And finally a random project that I never 100% finished, but will totally get around (I promise Daemons of Chaos). Before GW made their Blue Scribes, I made this. It has a couple of other things that are mean to go on it, but it's mostly finished. I do prefer GW's but I'm happy enough with this one not to bother with theirs.
Cool post man! I like the retro models, brings back good memories.
ReplyDeleteThanks mate, unfortunately almost all of my old school models still reside in England. Hopefully at some point in the future I'll be able to bring them all over to the US.
