Visions of Heresy Arrive - Joy & Disapointment...

 Firstly let me say these are amazingly beautiful books, there is a massive amount more background and artwork than there was in the original version 'Collected Visions' and is much more than just an art book, and more of a historical tome of the heresy. When the regular addition comes out I highly recommend any Heresy fan to pick it up. However there was a tang of disappointment when I opened mine up.



I'm a Collector, the fiancee calls me a hoarder, but I'm a Collector and keeping things in good condition, is very important to me. It's one of my idiosyncrasies, I know it's weird, but hey at least I don't like to dress up as furry baby animal and ask people to change my diaper.

Anyway, so yes, my version is damaged, mostly through the delivery although there is some damage to the back page due to poor book construction. It's not massively damaged and I would probably just deal with it, but this is a $250 book! I've called the Black Library and was told to take some photos, send them to customer services and hopefully I'll get a replacement. I'm getting a little ticked off at the Black Library as I've yet to receive a package that has been packed by what I can assume is a blind person.

We'll see how this plays out, anyway here are the photos of the damaged box and books. What do you think? Am I just being off the wall nuts and need to reign in my crazy? Or do you think that for a $250 book they should perhaps take a bit more care and attention when shipping it overseas?
